British chef Fergus Henderson and his business partner Trevor Gulliver’s new venture St. John Hotel opens in London’s West End on 2 April. Henderson, famous for his “nose to tail eating” concept, also owns St. John Bar & Restaurant, St. John’s Bread & Wine and St. John Bakery throughout the city.

Paul Boudens

Soon after graduating from Sint-Lucaspaviljoen in Antwerp, graphic designer Paul Boudens started working with the local fashion designers such as Walter Van Beirendonck, Dries Van Noten, and A.F. Vandevorst.

I remember seeing his work in earlier series of A Magazine, when it started with Dirk Van Saene as the guest curator. The magazine had no cover. Instead, it was in a clear plastic envelope printed “A” in red. That was the first time I went through the masthead to find out who the art director was.

Below are his early works of show invitations with two incredibly talented Belgian designers, Wim Neels and Jurgi Persoons, whose labels are unfortunately no longer available.

From a family farm in Hampshire, Jude’s makes proper ice cream with passion. I normally don’t go for strawberry in ice cream because for some reason a lot of them taste very artificial, but their “Strawberry Tease” had the real berry flavour!

Cave of Forgotten Dreams – Werner Herzog

In 1994, a group of speleogists discovered a cave in Ardèche, France. Inside was a gallery of presumably the earliest wall paintings in human history that dates back 32,000 years. ”Cave of Forgotten Dreams” is an exclusive footage of the remarkable Chauvet Cave by German film director Werner Herzog.

Shigeru Ban is a renowned Japanese architect, recognised for his work using recycled cardboard paper to quickly and efficiently build shelters. His most significant projects include the Normadic Museum Tokyo and Musée d’art Moderne Georges Pompidou in Metz, France.

Paper Partition System was a project initially created to give privacy for families on evacuation sites during the Fukuoka earthquake in 2005.

After the recent disaster happened in Japan, his team is appealing for support to help provide these to the Japanese people.

On March 11, 2011, 9.0-magnitude earthquake struck the Pacific coast of Tohoku, JAPAN.

We are currently preparing to deploy simple partitions for evacuees taking shelter at gymnasiums in the Tohoku region.

From now on, for people taking shelter in these sites, it is necessary to avoid distress from the lack of privacy and high density.
